have you completed your homework? (hears voices). yes, no. okay, if not. finish on the last week of holidays. which is like tmr onwards? we're starting school soon! hello! wake up.

and not mentioning, i think its important to remind ourselves that next year is the beginning of year 2. (also the last year together). so, cherish the time together, and also work hard for the combinations you want! :D but anyway, i think we're gonna have like thousands of gatherings next year. so wait for it! (Y)

i havent bought my books yet, neither did i start on homework. so im going to be really busy. D: okay. and yeah. new year in a few days time. think back about what you did this year (YES, ITS CLICHE BUT W/E YOU HAVE TO DO IT ANYWAY!) and reflect. and make goals. or whatever you want. lol. and we need people to read this blog man. otherwise its like a dead man city.

and we have to decide on the class name when school reopens. so brainstorm now, till chester and ziying will take over.

do homework!! and rmb to collect your tees. 2nd january big walk. compulsory. i meant if you're not walking, you have to wait in the school. but the registration is closed. so those who didnt hand in the form, wait in the school.

Language arts:

1. Extensive reading

2. Book Sharing Activity
+ Individually, in pairs or a group of 3, share books with a common theme or promote the works of an author you like very much. Individual sharing should take 4-5 min, whereas groups sharing should take no more than 10 min.
+ Engage your audience in role reading or role play, by sharing excerpts from the book… (Check the yellow paper for more advices)
+ Go for realistic fiction instead of the Fantasy genre.

3. My English Companion and Language Quizzes/ Assessments
+ Use ‘My English Companion’ to improve your language accuracy
+ Do expect regular quizzes on language accuracy next year.

1. 假期阅读 《窗边的小豆豆》：
+ 开学测验 > 测验范围包括整本书，内容包括选项和填充题

2. 报章读后感：
+ 在11月和12月的《联合早报》里，各选出一篇报道，并写读后感。报章内容必须与时事课题有关，例如青少年问题、教育课题等。
+ 字数必须至少300字，把读后感写在稿纸上。不可以用打印方式。功课必须附保障新闻。

3. 假期创作：
+ 写一篇文章，介绍自己喜欢的一首中文歌曲。文章内容必须说明你喜欢这首歌的原因。你可以从歌手的演绎方式、歌词内容、你的感触方面来说明。
+ 字数介于350-500字，把文章写在稿纸上。不可以用打印方式。功课必须附上歌词。文章必须是自己的创作，不得抄袭。

1. Read Toto-chan during the holidays. There will be a test in the first week when school reopens. The whole book will be tested in the form of 选项和填充题.

2. Read newspapers during the holidays. In the November and December issue of Lianhe Zaobao, choose one article each, which means there will be two articles handed in. After choosing, write one 读后感 of at least 300 words each. The article you chose should be closely related to society-related problems, teenagers’ problems, problems in schools etc. Write the 读后感 on Chinese foolscap, printing is not allowed. The article should be attached to your homework.

3. Write an essay of approximately 350-500 words, describing a mandarin song that you like. The contents of the essay should include the reason why you like the song. You can write in the aspects of how the singer performs the song, the meaning of lyrics, and your feelings towards the song. Write your essay on Chinese foolscap, printing is not allowed. The lyrics of the song should be attached to your homework. The homework should be original, if any copying cases are discovered, school rules will be implemented.

1. Upload PoU3 onto IVLE.
